Tiffin Travelers Winter Rally

Lazydays RV Resort in Seffner, Florida

4 nights beginning January 30, 2019

Due to the popularity of this location, this rally is for chapter members only. The reservation deadline is November 15th, 2018.

Call 800-905-6627 to reserve your site.  Mention "Tiffin Travelers Rally".

Site rates depend upon the length of site needed to accommodate your coach.  Rally rates for a site will range from $46 plus tax to $51 plus tax.  The rally rate can apply for up to 2 extra nights.  Any nights over the 4-rally-nights-plus-2-additional  will be at the current daily rate plus tax per night.  Customers of Lazydays will receive a 10% discount on those regular-rate nights.

After making your reservation, send an email to tiffintravelers@gmail.com to advise of your arrival and departure dates.
Don't wait to make your reservation.  Last year we sold out our allotment of sites several months in advance of the deadline!

Your hosts for this rally are Frances and Tom Fonner.

There will be afternoon socials, indoor games and activities and several on-site catered meals.  Registered attendees will be emailed later this year to remit advance payment for meals.  All attending member coaches will receive up to $10 per coach credit toward the rally fee; and, will also receive credit toward one of the catered meals.

This rally is immediately preceding the FMCA Southeastern Area (SEA) rally in Lakeland.

This chapter rally might also include the annual business meeting and other on and off-site activities.   All attending members are encouraged to offer activity suggestions to the hosts, via the tiffintravelers@gmail.com address.

The hosts have previously offered unique and (reportedly) enjoyable activities and experiences at the numerous rallies they have hosted.   We fear our chapter's previous rallies may have intimidated prospective hosts, and we want to illustrate how event planning can be kept more simple.  Our hope is to have other members step up to host a future rally at an RV park they are fond of.  The more opportunities we have for friends to gather and socialize in their pretty Tiffins, the better.

How to keep it simple:
  • Identify a location you like which has sites big enough for Tiffins; has a covered pavilion or enclosed meeting room; and, has 10 or more sites available.  Popular destinations and peak seasons will easily result in 20+ site reservations.  Check.
  • Confirm the date and availability with the location and check the chapter's Rallies and Gatherings page to make sure the calendar is clear.  Check.
  • Confirm the site rate($), deposit requirement, refund penalty if any, reservation  phone number and/or contact name, and set cutoff date for reservations.  Reservation process should require members to reserve directly with the park and then notify the hosts of their reservation.  Check
  • Share the information with the chapter leadership (by phone or email) in order to be placed on the calendar and receive pre-planning assistance or guidance as needed.  Check
  • Chapter leadership publishes rally information on web site, future newsletters and emails. In progress.
  • Essential elements of a rally are attendees, afternoon socials and food.  Other on-site and off-site activities are optional nice fluff.  In progress.
  • Occasionally, but not frequently, confirm reservation headcounts with the location.  In progress.
  • As the planning develops, work with chapter leadership for guidance, assistance and communications.  In progress.

For those of you who have not experienced Lazydays RV Resort, your resort stay includes many amenities, including: on-site restaurants, on-site bar, free breakfasts and lunches, free daily newspapers, seminars, pool, spas, tennis courts, and more.
